Dr. Criss and Our Staff
Brian G. Criss, DDS – Dentist
Welcome to Hillsview Dental! I am Dr. Brian G. Criss. I received my Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Wyoming in 1989. In 1996, I obtained my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. I started my practice in June of 1996, and am currently a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), and the Black Hills District Dental Society. I continue to attend several continuing education courses every year, and am certified to treat sleep apnea and place dental implants.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Teri; three children, Lydia, Grady, and Abigail; and our Yorkie, Bailey. I also routinely volunteer for mission work to Guatemala and Haiti, and in my downtime, I prefer camping, fly fishing, reading, and playing the piano.
Above all, I love building personal, long-lasting relationships with patients. We talk about more than just dental health, such as our personal lives, families, careers, and goals, and I feel like every patient is a member of my own family.
“Act as though you were to live forever; live as though you were to die tomorrow.”
My name is Jill, and I have been employed in the dental field for over 20 years. I joined Dr. Criss’ team in 2012, and absolutely love what I do. I love the friendships that I’ve formed with patients, and I enjoy helping them feel comfortable and at home while at our office.
I have two daughters, Robin and Emily, as well as a child that I sponsor in Bangladesh. I like swimming, music, walking, and spending time with family and friends.
“Friends are the family you choose for yourself.”
I’m Sheila, and I grew up in Hayti, South Dakota. I graduated from Dakota State University with an Associate of Arts degree in Travel. I’ve been working with Dr. Criss since 2012. I enjoy meeting patients, making them feel welcome, sharing stories, and getting to know them personally.
I have been married to my husband, Bob, for over 30 years, and we have three daughters – Kayla, Marissa, and Kelsy – and two sons-in-law – Jeff and Matt. When I am not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, crocheting, reading, and traveling.
“Love the people God gave you – one day, He’s gonna need them back.”

When I’m away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Chris, our children, Brooks and Hannah. My hobbies include scrapbooking, reading, and camping when time allows.
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.” – Steve Jobs
